Grateful for teaching Teachers: Rainbow Foameez Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Course

I just finished teaching the Rainbow Foameez Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Certification Course – the first ‘official’ one ever – and what a great high! It’s always such an honour and blessing to be able to pass along the teachings of great knowledge and understanding that those ancient yogis were so very tapped into – I’m so grateful. We had RMT’s, yoga teachers, school teachers, nutritionists and those just interested in expanding their personal repertoire, all graduate from the 12-hour training.
For me, teaching teachers is always exhilarating – they know their stuff, I know my stuff – so I know I’m hangin’ with my supernova yoga peeps of the yoga world; who actually care about learning and listening to what I have to say…and I appreciate that enormously. Big Smiling Buddha Face.
The best part is that when I teach teacher trainings, I learn from the students – and I re-learn or get re-taught the information like it’s fresh for the first time – a refresher….often digging up something brand new that I get to learn for myself and the students get to learn too. For example; by the end of Sunday, close to the 12-hour mark, one of the students asked what Restorative Yoga pose helps migraines…I was stumped – I didn’t speak up, however, in my head the first thing that came to mind was ‘legs up the wall pose’. Which, after a few of the students researched online and a few of us were debating aloud, the results popped up as, in fact, ‘Viparita Karani’ – legs up the wall – was best for migraine relief. Interesting – and glad to have re-learned that information. Here is a picture of me demonstrating the pose to the teacher trainees.

I shared with the students that I once suffered from chronic fatigue, chronic pain and chronic stress all at once. I called them ‘the 3 C’s’ or ‘the 3 Chronics’. Restorative Yoga was my only option for a long while – which I finally found relief. I had to rest very disciplined-like, not do many of the exercises I was used to doing, do restorative yoga only, meditate-meditate-meditate – and practice a lot of Yoga Nidra. I was so exhausted – in pain, and stressed out – I was a stressed out Yoga Teacher! I was operating a Yoga Studio and School after having twin babies – I was so tired, and could hardly manage the business – even with some help…and the worst part was I was in so much shoulder pain from doing WAAAAYYYY too much regular yoga, like ‘Downward Dog Pose’. I had to quit. And I did. Relief. But many years to recover. Rainbow Foameez Restorative Yoga Method is what saved me. I will share the story of how Rainbow Foameez-the product, came to be, at some other point in time – I shared it live at the training with the students, and they agree that it’s a great magical story to tell!
The teacher trainees were happy to be able to receive a bulk order discount because of taking the certification course, and all placed their Rainbow Foameez orders…always my pleasure to serve and expand – help make people feel better – thank goodness for that! As you’ve heard me say before, “I love spreading the yoga word”!

Heading straight into the full moon this weekend coming off of Mercury Retrograde – all is well, all is coming quickly, all is happening as it should – ‘let’s just see what happens’ – my favourite saying these days – I made up, was a part of one of the topics we covered in the teacher training course. This is my fave way to exist these days – by saying to myself and out loud – “let’s just see what happens”. It seems to take the pressure off of life – or at least help ease up the current situation. Try it. Use it often.

All My Love,

Sue XO
